Internship Opportunities Available

We are now offering several opportunities for interns to work on the digital archive aspect of our project. Reporting to the Archivist the successful applicants will help catalogue and digitize John Garstang’s photographic collections  in the Garstang Museum relating to Turkey and the Near East. Applicants should have experience of using IT programs and be self motivated. Applicants do not need to have any previous experience in the area as all training will be provided, though an interest in archaeology, archives, or photography may be beneficial. The post will involve heavy lifting and applicants must be over the age of 18.

There will be 8 posts available working in pairs for a period of two weeks between August and September 2010.

Deadline for Applications: 6 August 2010

Payment:  £7.25 per hour

Hours of Work: 10am-4pm Tuesday-Friday (with 1 hour for lunch)
